Umi matcha’s Tsuyuhikari Matcha is a single-origin tea produced by Oishichaen Co., Ltd. It is balanced with a sweet softness and fresh floral notes which makes it immediately approachable. Sourced from the Tsuyuhikari cultivar which is widely loved by those even newer to matcha.

Tsuyuhikari つゆひかり is derived from the words Tsuyu which means dew and Hikari which means light. Making it dew light. It is a cultivar from the cross of Shizu-7132 and Asatsuyu blending Asatsuyu’s sweetness with Shizu-7132’s floral notes.

The company has over 80 years of experience producing premium Japanese teas, while particularly being known for their expertise in Yame tea, which is prized for its rich umami, sweetness and vibrant colour.
