Refund policy
At Umi (Mirai Enterprises), we strive to ensure that every order reaches you in perfect condition. Please read our return and refund policy carefully before making a purchase.
Matcha Products
Due to the nature of matcha products and for safety and hygiene reasons, we do not accept any returns or offer refunds on our matcha range under any circumstances. All matcha purchases are final.
A refund or a replacement will be provided, if your order:
- Arrives damaged
- Contains an incorrect item
- Is lost in transit
Please contact us at hello@umimatchashop.com within 48 hours of delivery, along with your order number and clear photos. Once verified, we will arrange a replacement. If a replacement is not possible due to stock unavailability, a refund will be issued.
We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations for change-of-mind purchases.
Matchaware (Matcha Accessories)
We only accept returns for matchaware items (e.g., chawans, whisks, scoops, etc) if the product arrives in a damaged or defective condition.
If your matchaware item is damaged or defective upon delivery, please follow these steps:
- Contact us at hello@umimatchashop.com within 48 hours of receiving the product.
- Provide your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the damaged or defective item.
- Upon verification, we will arrange for a replacement or issue a refund, as appropriate.
Failed Delivery / Return-to-Origin (RTO)
If a shipment is returned due to:
- Incorrect phone number
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Customer unavailability after valid delivery attempts
- Order refusal after dispatch
A refund will be issued once the package is received back at our warehouse, minus a 10% restocking fee and RTO charges to cover return shipping charges.
Important Notes
- Returns are only accepted for matchaware products that are unused and in their original packaging.
- We reserve the right to reject any return request that does not meet the above criteria.
- Refunds, if approved, will be processed to the original method of payment within 7–10 business days after the product is received at our warehouse.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised Policy on the Site, update the "Last updated" date and take any other steps required by applicable law
