About the Farm

OCHA NO HAMADA

Ocha No Hamada is a premium tea producer and tea house based in Chiran, Kagoshima - one of Japan’s most respected tea-growing regions. Led by sixth-level certified tea master Shuhei Hamada, the farm specializes in high-quality matcha, sencha, hojicha, and deep-steamed green teas.

Grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soil shaped by the nearby Sakurajima volcano, the teas develop a naturally smooth umami profile, vibrant green color, and low bitterness. Combined with Kagoshima’s warm climate and clean mountain air, this unique terroir gives each harvest a distinctive depth and character.

Focused on environmentally conscious cultivation and small-scale production, Ocha No Hamada is dedicated to preserving the purity, quality, and authentic expression of Japanese tea.
